TDOT’s bridge repair on I-40 near Monterey is nearly complete.
Spokesman Jennifer Flynn said the paving will begin Sunday night.
Rolling roadblocks and the assistance of the THP will help keep traffic moving and out of the work area.
Workers will pave the eastbound lanes, then the westbound.
TDOT has been repairing the bridge over State Route 24 at mile marker 300 for months. That’s also the site of a serious tractor trailer accident earlier this week. The tractor trailer jackknifed off Interstate 40 to land on the road below. The driver wasn’t seriously injured.
