TDOT said DeKalb County’s College Street Bridge repair will be complete on time.
Spokesman Jennifer Flynn said Mid State Construction served as contractor on the project, which cost about $282,000.
“The asphalt overlay for the bridge itself is scheduled to be done next Tuesday and Wednesday and the project is scheduled to complete on time,” Flynn said.
The bridge has been closed since June 2016, when a county landfill truck hit it and caused major damage. The repairs have been relatively quick, though.
“Yes it was relatively short term, I think it started the end of June and then it was scheduled to be complete by October 31, so it went really well and we’re very happy about that,” Flynn said.
In addition to the county landfill truck, two other vehicles have hit the bridge since June 2016.
