The much anticipated improvement project at the Highway 70 and Highway 56 intersection in Baxter is substantially complete.
TDOT Community Relations Office Rae Anne Bradley said all that remains are some minor work items.
“There are some permanent signs that need to be replaced, and the city still has to inspect and accept the traffic signal that has been installed,” Bradley said. “Those are the only remaining items on this project. All paving, striping and earth work are complete on that project.”
Bradley said a new traffic light was installed near the Crossroads residential development for safety reasons.
