Watch out for limbs in roadways this morning across the Upper Cumberland after Wednesday night’s strong winds. Sunday’s rainfall caused Cummins Falls State Park to close as a safety precaution. Park Manager Ray Cutcher said the park monitors rainfall through radar, the National Weather Service and its own rain and water depth gauges. Strong winds that began just after 4:00pm Sunday afternoon produced some scattered power issues across the Upper Cumberland. Volunteer Energy reports a growing number of outages in Fentress County near Jamestown. The number increased to over 400 around 6:40pm Sunday.
