Former legislator Frank Buck who served Cannon, Dekalb and Smith Counties over some 18 terms, has died. Buck was 89. Sherrell, Bailey And Hale Win State House And Senate Races

State Representative Paul Sherrell set for another term after receiving over 75 percent of the vote. Unofficial results show that Sherrell defeated Democratic Candidate Cheryl Womack Uselton. Sherrell received 11,851 votes against Uselton’s 3,401. Sherrell represents District 43, which includes White, Grundy and part of Warren Counties.
