The TBI investigating an officer involved shooting along Interstate 40 in Crossville Friday night. Westbound lanes of I-40 near mile marker 311 were closed for a couple of hours. A TBI Investigation of a fatal shooting involving two Overton County Deputies has found the officers’ action as justified. On June 4th, 43-year-old Jerry Henley was shot and killed after resisting arrest. A Cookeville man has been arrested in connection to a December 2020 shooting in Nashville on Tuesday. The Cookeville Police Department arrested 31 year-old Walter Clyde Jones for allegedly shooting 40 year-old David Lamont Jordan at his home in North Nashville.
