TBI Leading Investigation Into Friday Night I-40 Officer Shooting

The TBI investigating an officer involved shooting along Interstate 40 in Crossville Friday night. Westbound lanes of I-40 near mile marker 311 were closed for a couple of hours. A TBI Investigation of a fatal shooting involving two Overton County Deputies has found the officers’ action as justified. On June 4th, 43-year-old Jerry Henley was shot and killed after resisting arrest. White County’s Northfield Elementary School is on soft lockdown Friday after a shooting nearby on Old Cookeville Highway. Cookeville Man Arrested For Fatal Nashville Shooting

A Cookeville man has been arrested in connection to a December 2020 shooting in Nashville on Tuesday. The Cookeville Police Department arrested 31 year-old Walter Clyde Jones for allegedly shooting 40 year-old David Lamont Jordan at his home in North Nashville. The man killed in a Monterey shooting on Saturday has been identified as 59 year-old Jimmy Doc Gibson.
