Unemployment Down Across UC

Pickett County’s August unemployment rate ranks second lowest in the state while Overton County stands fourth. Every Upper Cumberland community saw unemployment fall in August, though rates still stand roughly three percent above the pre-covid levels. I-40 Accident Slows Traffic; Man Airlifted

A Pegram man airlifted to Nashville’s Skyline Medical Center Thursday afternoon after his vehicle left Interstate 40 and struck a tree.
