UC Sees Improvement In Adult Literacy, Still An Issue For Area

Some 13 percent of the Upper Cumberland’s adult population is considered illiterate. Putnam Curriculum Supervisor Says Early Literacy Training Intensive Successful

Some 140 Putnam County teachers underwent extensive training on improving elementary school reading skills.
