A new roof over the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree will be constructed thanks to a $75,000 state Tourism Enhancement Grant. The Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree cranks up this weekend, maintaining and preserving the music, dance, and craft of Appalachia. The first Jamboree took place in 1972.
