Sparta Homeless Shelter Offering Shopping Spree

Seeds of Hope in Sparta is raising money in hopes of securing a permanent location for its Coldest Nights Shelter. Someone can win a three-minute shopping spree at Sparta’s Save-A-Lot store. Cookeville Could Extend UCHRA-Police Department Program

A pilot program between Cookeville and UCHRA’s Substance Abuse Solutions test program will expire in January. City Manager James Mills said an extension is worth considering. As overnight temperatures continue to drop, Seeds of Hope of Tennessee is preparing its Coldest Nights Shelter in White County.
