Cookeville City Council began preparations for winter last night, purchasing 500 tons of road salt. Public Works Director Blake Mayo said the city is currently two-thirds full on salt. The Cookeville Industrial Development Board scheduled a special called meeting following a request from Ficosa to revisit the company’s payment-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement.
