Cookeville-Putnam County Animal Shelter will increase several fees starting next fiscal year after the Animal Control Board approved the changes Friday. Jackson County Commission approved two resolutions Monday that would bring in more money to the county general fund. One being increasing litigation taxes, and the other levying an additional litigation tax. Sparta will move forward with an optional water leak insurance program. Council members Thursday approved authorizing Mayor Jeff Young to enter an agreement for the program.
