Overton Using $50,000 Grant For Three Initiatives

Overton County is looking to re-brand, boost tourism and strengthen its workforce through Tennessee’s ThreeStar program. Livingston Shirt Factory Rezoning Considered For Commercial Use

Livingston is considering rezoning eight properties around the old shirt factory into its central business district. Livingston Community Planner Tommy Lee said the properties are currently zoned for light industrial, only allowing for manufacturing. LED Street Signs Coming to Livingston’s Downtown

LED street signs will be coming to Livingston after approval by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen Monday night. The LED street markers will be placed around the courthouse square downtown, replacing the standard green signage. Downtown Livingston property owners beginning next week can apply to have a mural painted on their building. Applications must include a detailed mural proposal with ideas to highlight the county’s history and culture.
