TAA Officials To Investigate Jackson County Plane Crash

Tennessee Aviation Association (TAA) officials will investigate a small plane crash that occurred in Jackson County.

The crash occurred Tuesday when Florida pilot David Poirer was traveling to a Wisconsin plane show from Athens, Tennessee.

Jackson County EMA reports the plane experienced a mechanical issue and made an emergency landing 50 yards from the Jackson County Airport runway.

EMA officials said Poirer was uninjured in the crash and in good spirits. TAA officials are expected to arrive at the Jackson County Airport Wednesday to investigate the crash.
