District Attorney Bryant Dunaway said the parties involved in Friday’s Cookeville stabbing on Autumn Avenue have been identified.
Dunaway said he is now reviewing the evidence to determine the appropriate criminal charges.
The incident resulted in the death of 40-year-old Brandon Lee Threet after a stab wound to the chest. Officers performed measures to try to save Threet’s life, before transporting him to Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Dunaway said the investigation is ongoing, so specific details can not be shared at this time. Investigators believe the death to be domestic-related, according to Cookeville Police.
