Nearly 9,000 people in Crossville are without power Sunday morning.
Cumberland County EMA Director Rick Williams reports the outage was caused by a fire at the city’s substation.
Crews are currently working on the issue as Williams says power should be restored by noon.
A cause of the substation fire is currently unavailable at this time. Cumberland County EMA recommends those with any medical needs or concerns stemming from the outage should contact 911 for assistance.
The Cumberland County Community Complex will open at 11 a.m. as a warming shelter for those without heating. The community complex is located at 1398 Livingston Road in Crossville.
