Statewide Group Brings Leadership Conference To UC

The Tennessee Association of Community Leadership will host its annual Statewide Leadership Conference in Cookeville this October.

Speakers at the event will discuss measurable metrics for determining a business’ impact on its local community. IMPACT Leadership will host the event. Executive Director Cindy Schueman said the event offers an extensive opportunity for growth for local businesses.

“We’re telling local businesses it’s an opportunity of a lifetime right here in Cookeville,” Schueman said, “But also bring three or four colleagues because if we have four tracks crossed, you need one person at each track to take it all in.

Schueman said the event will feature three leadership tracks for attendees, including measuring what matters in the community, measuring self-growth through transformational thinking, and engaging leaders for measurable impact.

“This year, Mark Hutchins from Cookeville is chairman of TACL,” Schueman said. “So, Mark being chairman of TACL and the TACL conference being here, hosted by IMPACT Leadership, is just a plus-plus.”

Schueman also said she previously had the opportunity to host the TACL conference in 2020 during her term as chair.

Bill Imada, founder and chief connectivity officer of IW group, will give the keynote address. Other speakers include influential Nashville writer Michael McRay and author of A Most Tolerant Little Town Rachel Martin. The conference’s theme will be Measuring your Impact.

Schueman said that early bird pricing will be available for a limited time this month. Those interested can visit ImpactLeadership.Com.
