Tennessee Department of Revenue partnering with Tennessee Tech to host a rapid hire job fair.
Communications Director Kelly Cortesi said the department has a long-standing relationship with Tennessee Tech through traditional job fair and alumni on staff. She said they will be interviewing for several auditor positions. During the event, applicants complete an application, and interview, and are considered for hire the same day.
“If people are looking for a job right now, they’re wanting to have that process move quickly,” Coresti said. “And for us, we have vacancies to fill. It’s beneficial for us as the employer to get qualified candidates in the door.”
Cortesi said jobs with the Department of Revenue offer flexibility and the possibility to work from home. She said they understand a positive work-life balance is important to those in the workforce today.
Cortesi said you can sign up for an interview slot or just walk in. The event will be on Thursday, March 23rd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Johnson Hall.
“We do have certain job requirements for auditor positions,” Coretsi said. “In general we require Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree or relevant coursework in accounting, in finance, some sort of experience to indicate folks are interested in this feel. I will say that if someone has a Bachelor’s or Associate’s in another field, and they’re interested in these positions, they should still come on out and talk to us.”
Cortesi said they have a lot of on-the-job training opportunities. She said they try to really invest in their employees.
