A four hour standoff in Warren County came to an end last night when a police negotiator managed to keep a man from jumping off a bluff.
35-year-old Chris Johnson is charged with evading arrest, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment and domestic assault.
Officials said deputies went to Johnson’s home to serve a warrant in connection with a Tuesday night incident. Johnson allegedly fled the home and ran to a bluff above the Collins River, where he threatened to jump into the frigid water.
Officials said a police negotiator managed to convince Johnson to give himself up and he was later transported to jail.
