A School Resource Officer accidentally discharged a firearm Friday morning at Cumberland County’s Pine View Elementary.
No one was injured. The officer was alone in his office with no children in the vicinity. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation. The officer, whose name was not released, will be placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
The K-8 school serves Ozone, Daysville, Westel, Smith and Millstone Mountain.
