Spencer Man Included In Presidential Pardons

A Spencer man included in President Joe Biden’s first presidential pardons announced Tuesday.

Bethel Cheyenne Mooneyham was charged with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a methamphetamine mixture.

Mooneyham was sentenced 20 years in prison followed by a 10-year term of supervised releases. His sentence is set to expire in August of this year. The 10-year term of supervision will remain intact.

According to the White House, individuals who are having their sentences commuted have all made efforts to rehabilitate themselves through educational, vocational training or drug treatment in prison.

Out of the 75 granted commutations by the president, three Tennesseans total were included.
