A Sparta woman was arrested late last week in Lawrence, Ind.
Anissa DeGroat, 45, faces charges of forgery, theft and fleeing law enforcement.
According to local media, DeGroat and Kelsey Oliver, 19, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., attempted to cash a stolen check at a local credit union. Staff refused to cash the check. Police caught up with DeGroat and Oliver trying to leave the parking lot. The two fled, leading police on a chase on Interstate 69.
