A pedestrian died along Highway 55 in Warren County just before daybreak Wednesday when he was struck by a truck.
According to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Bobby Baker of Sparta died when the Freightliner truck driven by Michael Bradford of Rossville, Georgia struck him. Baker was standing in the middle of the roadway.
The accident happened in the westbound lane just before 5am.
Bradford was not injured.
