Sparta is exploring options to add video packages showcasing the city’s attractions for its website.
City Administrator Brad Hennessee said the city has contacted local sources to create the reel to bring more long term residents to Sparta.
“We know people are looking at our website,” Hennessee said. “And the more attractive we can make that, then hopefully that will lure people here for a more in depth look.”
Hennessee said the videos would focus on quality of life, economic development and local services. Hennessee said candidates and price tags for the production will be brought to the Board of Alderman in the coming months.
“The conversations that we have had in house are basically we would like to have a welcome portion to the video,” Hennessee said. “We are open to whatever format. It does not have to be four individual ones, or it can be one with several different aspects.”
Conversation for videos highlighting the city sparked during the Board of Alderman’s October work session. Sparta wants to remain the owners of the videos.
