Southern Stars Symphonic Brass Band Of Crossville Returns September

The Southern Stars Symphonic Brass Band of Crossville returns to the stage next month after an 18 month hiatus.

President Dwight Wages said the 30-musician ensemble will start with a free concert September 4th called,”Summon the Heroes.”

“They really enjoy it I think being among their brethren if you will and have the opportunity to make some music,” Wages said. “It feels great and we are really looking forward to it.”

Wages said the outdoor concert will be free and will honor emergency workers. Wages said the symphony will play a mixture of pieces composed by John Williams, the Beatles and others.

Wages said goers can expect a premium entertainment experience. Wages said the music group has been together for 14 years and is made up of local professors, professionals and seasoned performers.
