South Korean Firm Coming To Morrison, $30M Investment In Plant

A South Korean adhesive manufacturing firm will locate its first US facility in Warren County.

Governor Bill Lee announced the $30 million investment Friday morning in Morrison. Unitech North America will create 75 new jobs in phase one of the development.

“Tennessee’s strong business climate and exceptional workforce attract global brands like Unitech to our state,” Lee said. “I am grateful that Unitech has chosen to establish its first U.S. facility in Warren County and look forward to seeing the prosperity these 75 new jobs will bring to the families across rural Tennessee.”

The Morrison plan will produce thermal adhesives and battery compression pads for electric vehicle batteries. The company has operations in Asia and Europe.

The state has brought some 30 economic development projects to the Upper Cumberland since 2019, creating some 2,700 jobs, according to state officials.
