DeKalb County authorities have filed charges against an 18-year-old Smithville man for alleged sex crimes involving young girls.
The sheriff’s office has charged Samuel Dewayne Wright of Midway Road with six counts of solicitation of a minor.
Sheriff Patrick Ray said on six occasions Wright used electronic communications to intentionally persuade a minor female to engage in sexual activity with him.
The acts allegedly occurred between March and April and the victims ages ranged between 13 and 16 years old.
Wright being held on $18,000 bond and will appear in court on May 10th.
