Smith County Man Killed In Tuesday Morning Crash

An early Tuesday morning crash in Smith county has taken the life of a Pleasant Shade man.

43-year-old Johnny L. Thomas was killed when his 2014 Ford Mustang traveled off the side of Dean Hill Road and struck a culvert.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Thomas was not wearing a seat belt, which would have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
