A top 10 most wanted man from Smith County is now in custody following a foot pursuit off Carthage Highway in Wilson County Thursday morning.
A manhunt for 18-year-old Alain Benitez began Wednesday after he allegedly stuck a Wilson County law enforcement vehicle before crashing his own car and fleeing the scene.
The incident led the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to place Benitez on its Top Ten Most Wanted list.
Benitez had a warrant out for his arrest in Smith County for aggravated assault.
