Simple health choices can be important viral illnesses, like the coronavirus are being spread.
Putnam County Health Director Lisa Bumbalough said basics such as a healthy diet and sleep can make a difference.
“It is always good to practice making healthy food choices,” Bumbalough said. “Eating fruits, eating plenty of vegetables and of course staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water. As well as, getting plenty of rest.”
Bumbalough said to also regularly wash your hands and avoid touching your face.
“Being proactive and practicing good hand hygiene is very important,” Bumbalough said. “You want to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after blowing our nose and coughing and sneezing and going to the restroom.”
