Simmons Nominated To Lead Van Buren County Schools

The Van Buren County School Board voted Wednesday night to begin negotiations with Katina Simmons to serve as School System Director.

The board asked Chair Tim Hodges to begin work on a two-year agreement. Simmons currently serves as Principal of Van Buren County High School. She has been serving as interim director over the last several weeks.

Three candidates interviewed by the board for the job last week.

The decision on Simmons came with no discussion or no other nominations Wednesday night.
