The Upper Cumberland Better Business Bureau’s annual event for Secure Your Identity Day takes place this weekend.
Branch Manager Marty Donnelly said it’s an opportunity for locals to shred important documents.
‘This is a time when folks can come and bring paper for a free shredding of documents,” Donnelly said. “They can bring old credit card statements, checks, and IRS returns. Anything that a thief could use to steal identity.”
Donnelly said Secure Your Identity Day will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the cancer center parking lot of Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
