A shooting in White County left one dead and another in critical condition in Friday morning.
According to White County PIO Melissa Worthington, the incident is under investigation by TBI. Worthington said the incident was likely a domestic situation but added that is not confirmed.
“We are still combing through evidence and processing the scene,” Worthington said. “We will be able to make a better judgement on that once we get the totality of the circumstances of what happened inside the residence.”
77-year-old Dominick Iraggi was found with a gunshot wound in the torso and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Worthington, 73-year-old Patricia Iraggi was found with a gunshot wound to her upper extremities and head. Worthington said she was transported to an area hospital and her condition is currently unknown.
The shooting occurred on Woodland Trail in the Bon Air community just outside Sparta.
