Shaffield’s Furniture will be closing its Cookeville and Sparta locations “in the near future.”
“Our stores have been open 7 days a week, 362 days a year for the past few years, and we have chosen to close to spend more time as a family,” Owner Jacob Shaffield said. “We have 7 children ages 11 months to 19, so we are looking forward to spending more time with them in the coming months. We love raising our children in the Upper Cumberland and look forward to continuing our lives here.”
The company began in Sparta. In 2013, Shaffield’s opened an expanded gallery on Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville. Shaffield said both the Cookeville location and Sparta Furniture will be announcing a public liquidation sale “in the near future.”
“We appreciate the support of the community over the last 8 years,” Shaffield said.
