Selby Hired As First Cumberland Codes Director

Cumberland County Commissioners approved Joshua Selby as the county’s first Codes Director.

Based on growth inside the county, commissioners decided earlier this year to create their own codes department. Previously, Crossville has handled projects in the county.

Selby will begin preparations, with permitting and other inspections set to begin in January. Mayor Allen Foster said the position will help with increasing workloads across the county.

Commissioners voted Selby into the role Monday night.
