Schools, Law Enforcement Looking Into BonDeCroft Theft

The White County Sheriff’s Department is looking for tips regarding a theft at the BonDeCroft Elementary School construction site.

Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger said the theft was not major. He said tools, copper, and a trailer were stolen from the job site. Dronebarger said the Sheriff’s Department and the school system will be keeping a close eye on the site moving forward.

“We did have a trailer, an electrician’s trailer stolen,” Dronebarger said. “Nothing that’s going to slow the progress of that down, but certainly, we don’t want to have that on our campuses or anywhere in our community, so any help we can get from those Facebook postings would be appreciated.”

The White County Schools Facebook page posted video footage Thursday morning of a dark-colored pickup truck that they believe to have been involved. Dronebarger asked that any residents with information on the crime contact the White County Sheriff’s Department.
