Schaller Is New Putnam County Library Director

There’s a new person in charge at the Putnam County Library.

Interim Director Phil Schaller’s first day on the job will be Monday. Friday was Stacie Netherton’s last day as director.

Schaller said he’s excited about the position and looking forward to all the activities the library hosts.

“I think the more activities we have, the better, we’re basically just trying to serve our community here, so the more things that we can offer, the better we are, the better taxpayers feel about the return on investment for paying their taxes, the more we can offer the community, our patrons, the better,” Schaller said.

Schaller has been a library employee for several years. Friday was his last day in his former position as assistant director and adult services librarian.
