The number of Upper Cumberland COVID-19 cases stands at seven, according to the Tennessee Department Of Health.
Five cases reported in Putnam County and two in Cumberland County as of Saturday afternoon. The Putnam County number decreased from Friday’s report from County Mayor Randy Porter. Porter said Friday there appeared to be some discrepancy concerning residents of other counties who visited Putnam County to be tested.
Health Department officials are tracing those who might have been in contact with those who are ill.
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster said the two Cumberland County patients are recovering at home under quarantine.
Statewide, the number of cases increased to 371. 140 of those cases have been reported in Davidson County with 47 more in Williamson County. Sumner County reported 11 cases of the coronavirus.
Shelby County stands Saturday as the only other Tennessee community with a double-digit number of cases with 40.
Among the reported cases, just under half are among persons 21-40.
The State Health Department had completed 694 COVID-19 tests as of Saturday afternoon. 642 of those tests came back negative.
