Rose Working To Fund Fentress ER Equipment

U.S. Congressman John Rose is working to secure federal funding to get equipment for Fentress County’s standalone ER.

That is according to Fentress County Executive Jimmy Johnson. Johnson said that Rose and his team came and toured the facility this week.

“It will actually be a large impact on our rural medicine in Fentress County,” Johnson said. “We’re just tickled to death that a lot of people are interested in helping out. That’s what it is, a lot of people have had a part in getting this here.”

Johnson said that since getting the Certificate of Need for the facility, UT-Medical officials have toured and been pleased with what they’ve seen.

Johnson said that while securing equipment is worked on, renovations inside the facility will begin within the next 30 days.
