Road Closures For Flatt Celebration Saturday

Sparta’s Square will be closed to traffic Saturday for the annual Lester Flatt Celebration.

Chief Jeff Guth said the police department has the festival preparations down to a science.

“The whole square will be shut off to vehicle traffic and will be foot traffic only, it’s just park where you can on the side of the street,” Guth said.

Police will be on hand in the Square and the area around it, Guth said.

“Well they’ll be heavy traffic on Bockman Way but the streets around the square will be open,” Guth said.

White County High School’s ROTC students will be stationed at the traffic barricades around the Square and can answer questions and give directions, Guth said.
