Repairs Begin On Highway 52 In Celina

Nearly two weeks after heavy rains collapsed State Route 52 in Clay County, crews have started making repairs to the roadway near the Moss Fire Department.

Officials said crews have started removing the road material that slid away the day before Christmas. Once that finishes up, workers will begin installing geotextile fabric and begin placing graded solid rock in the excavated area.

TDOT said they expect the project to be completed within the next three weeks.

The road will remain open to one lane and controlled with a signal as crews make repairs.
