Mr. Harold Qualls, age 84, of Rickman, passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2018 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Anthony Gene Wade, age 66 of Bloomington Springs, passed from this life on Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home. Tony was born September 16, 1952 in Granville, Tennessee, to the late Mildred M. (Patriarca) and Verble Fred Wade. Tony was a retired pipeliner and a construction worker. Tony chose cremation and the family followed his wishes and a Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Jones, 90, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. She passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at NHC Health Care of Cookeville. She was born May 5, 1928, in Jackson County, to the late Dallas B. Loftis and Gennette “Nette” Chaffin Loftis. On May 26, 1956, she was married to Horace Jones, who survives. She was a garment factory worker and homemaker, and a member of the Morrison Creek Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Glenda McBroom and Lois Loftis. Survivors include her Husband: Horace Jones of Gainesboro; 1 Son: David (Pamela) Jones of Chattanooga; 1 Daughter: Peggy (Brian) Denton of Carthage, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Ethan Denton and Emma Denton; Nephew: Tony (Gayla) McBroom of Cookeville; 2 Great Nephews: Anthony McBroom and Andrew McBroom; and 1 Great Great Niece: Jocey McBroom. Several cousins and many friends also survive. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 P.M. – 8 P.M. and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral services for Mr. Billie Ray Dickerson, age 77 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Thursday from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Saylors Cemetery. Ray passed away Monday morning, May 7, 2018 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Ray was born June 2, 1940 in Sparta to the late Henry Thomas Dickerson, Sr., and Alma Shelton Dickerson. He had a career that spanned from auto sales to road construction. Ray was better known as a “trader”. He enjoyed trading on anything he thought he could get or make a good deal on from typewriters to automobiles. He also enjoyed raising cattle and dirt track racing. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Henry Thomas “Boonie” Dickerson, Jr. and Billie Gene Dickerson. Survivors include his son Darrell Dickerson and wife Tina of Cookeville; Grandchildren: Jacob Dickerson, Emily Emery & husband Brent, Kendra Hicks all of Cookeville; Mother of his son: Hazel Dickerson of Sparta; Three great-grandchildren: Libby, Kolby and Kaitlyn; Sister: Helen Frazier of Sparta; Brother: Joe Dickerson & wife Larona of Sparta; Special caregiver: Sandy Garrett of Cookeville. She was born November 26, 1946, in Granville, to the late Garrett Vinson, Sr. and Hatha Mae Burgess Vinson. She was the former owner of Helen’s Restaurant in Gainesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Garrett Vinson, Jr., Harold Vinson, Charles Vinson, and Carl Vinson; and 3 Sisters: Milse Vinson (Charlie) Butler, Ann Vinson, and Katherine Vinson. Mr. Dow Was President And CEO Of Da Lo Industries, Incorporated In Byrdstown, Tennessee, For Approximately 40 Years. He Formed The Gospel Crusaders Quartet Group And Sang With Them. He And His Wife Started Their Own Publishing Company, Begley Dow Publishing Company. He Attended And Sang With His Wife At The Central Grove Baptist Church And Peolia Methodist Church In Albany, Kentucky. He Was A Faithful Servant Of The Lord, Good Family Man And Parent. Celebration of Life for Della “Jean” Smith, 67 of Cookeville, will be held, Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Paran Church in Cookeville. Jean passed from this life Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at her home in Cookeville. Jean was born Wednesday, August 9, 1950 and she was the daughter of the late Carl E. Sr.and the Dorothy (Johnson) Stults. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and working for the Lord. She worked at Lucky B Manufacturing for many years. Jean loved animals and especially her German Shepherd, Duck. Jean is survived by: 2 Daughters: Dawn Huckeby, Jennifer and Terry Mansell; 1 Son: Jamie McGinnis; 2 Grandsons: Daniel James Harville, Elijah Glenn McGinnis; Great-Granddaughter: Kallie Jaden Lynn Harville. Richard passed away Monday evening, May 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 19, 1949 in White County to the late James Elmer and Lena Mae Graham Denton. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Dorothy Marie Adcock. Richard was a devoted Truck Driver. He is survived by his wife: Gladys Faye Stacy Denton of Sparta; Son: Richie Edward (Marcella) Denton; Daughter: Stacey Leona (James) Snodgrass; Grandchildren: Alexis Russell, Todd Russell, Mercedes Mosley, Olivia Pelham, Kaylee Snodgrass, and Cayd Snodgrass; Great-Grandchild: Brooklyn Addison; Special Daughter: Letitia Manus; along with several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
