Memorial Services For Kenneth “Ken” Parrott, Age 74, Of Monterey, Tennessee, Will Be Conducted On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, At 7:30 PM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home With Honors Provided By The Tennessee Highway Patrol Honor Guard And Full Military Honors Provided By The Veterans Honor Guard. Rev. Ronald Whited And Pastor Steve Looper Will Officiate. Mr. Parrott Was Born On April 20, 1944, In Monterey, Tennessee, To The Late Paul Justin And Nannie Pearl Roberson Parrott. Mr. Parrott Passed Away On Sunday, July 8, 2018, At His Home. Mr. Parrott Was A Trooper With The Tennessee Highway Patrol With Over 25 Years Of Service And Retired In 1999. He Was A United States Vietnam Navy Veteran Serving On The Essex-Class Aircraft Carrier USS Oriskany, Nicknamed The Mighty O. He Was A Member Of Hope In Christ Fellowship. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, From 4:30 PM Until Time Of Services At 7:30 PM.

Funeral services for Michael Anthony Anderson, age 14, of Delta Country in Livingston will be conducted 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Rev. James Shenko will officiate. Burial will be in Peeled Chestnut Cemetery in White County. Michael Anthony Anderson passed from this life on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home. He was born June 21, 2004 in Fentress County to Marc Anderson & Nancy Stephens. He enjoyed playing sports and fishing. His favorite hobby was video games and listening to music. Anthony leaves his father, Marc Anderson of Livingston; mother, Nancy Stephens of Jamestown; brothers, Marc Anderson, Jr., Tommy Anderson, and Bobby Anderson all of Las Vegas Nevada. Funeral Service for Kathy Louise Pitts Boyd, age 47 of Doyle, will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Old Country Church. Kathy passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. She was born December 30, 1970 in Searcy, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Heather Pitts and a sister: Mary Nash. She is survived by her husband: James Douglas Boyd; Sons: Paul Gilliam and Rodger Gilliam; Grandchildren: Austin, Jonathan, Joshua and Heather; Parents: David Sr, and Carolyn Faye Blair Pitts; 2 Sisters: Patricia Newman and Betty Pitts; 2 Brothers: David Pitts, Jr. and Johnny Pitts. Ms. Tinch Passed Away On Sunday, July 8, 2018, At The Standing Stone Care And Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Tinch Was A Homemaker, CNA, And A Factory Worker. She Was A Member Of Freedonia Freewill Baptist Church. She Is Survived By Her Daughter, Robin Neely Of Cookeville, TN; Son And Daughter-In-Law, Hugh And Sheila Neely Of Crossville, TN; Several Grandchildren And Great Grandchildren; 3 Sisters And A Brother-In-Law, Bonnie Pierce Of The Love Joy Community, Genevieve Stouder Of Monterey, TN, Reba And Doyle Pierce Of The Mineral Springs Community; Brother And Sister-In-Law, Hollis And Pat Harris Of The Love Joy Community. Memorial services with military honors for Mr. Bentley Andre Spiewak, age 72, of Cookeville and formerly of Sterling Heights, MI, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday July 11 at Dyer Funeral Home with Celebrant Judy Duke officiating. Bentley passed away suddenly Friday June 6, 2018 at his home. He was born June 12, 1946 in Willoughby, OH to the late Felix and Anna Nastal Spiewak. Bentley was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Army. He was retired from Chrysler Corp. in Sterling Heights. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Liz Spiewak of Macomb Township, MI; and two grandchildren, Ryan Joseph and Sydney Kathleen Spiewak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Pekarek Spiewak; and sister, Joyce Johnson. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until service time.

A memorial service for Kathy McMurry, 57 of Sparta, will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with James Dukes officiating. Kathy passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Born Thursday, July 6, 1961 in Cincinatti, Ohio, she was the daughter of Leon Leeper and Julia Crick Leeper. She was the wife of John McMurry. Mrs. McMurry loved God and taking care of her family and her home. She also loved tending to her flower garden. She is survived by her husband, John McMurry of Sparta; daughter, Ashley McDonald (Garry) of Alpine; daughter, Sunshine Leeper of Ashland City; and brothers, Tim and Randy Leeper. He is also survived by his six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by a brother, Leon Leeper. Family will receive friends from 1pm until the time of service.

Ms. Sipe Was Born On April 28, 1972, In Cookeville, To Mitchel Phillips Of Muddy Pond, And Shirley Ann Welch Phillips Horst Of Grimsley. Ms. Sipe Passed Away On Sunday, July 8, 2018, At Her Home. Ms. Sipe Was A Homemaker. She Was Baptist In Faith And Was A Faithful Christian. She Is Survived By Her Father, Mitchel Phillips Of Muddy Pond; Mother And Stepfather, Shirley And Nelson Horst Of Grimsley; Brother And Sister-In-Law, Stacy And Lesa Phillips Of Muddy Pond; And Niece, Summer Phillips. She Was Preceded In Death By Her Husband, Herbert Sipe. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Wednesday, July 11, 2018, From 5:00 PM Until 8:00 PM.

Memorial services for Mrs. Wallene B. Thompson age 90 of Baxter, Tennessee will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 beginning at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. John Pippin and Bro. Matt Suggs officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Wednesday July 12, from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00am. Mrs. Thompson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Cookeville, Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born July 4, 1928, to the late Marvin and Auda (Shanks) Brewington. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Baxter Church of Christ. She served as a teacher of the young people at the Church for several years. Mrs. Thompson graduated from Tennessee Tech with a BA in Elementary Education in 1955. She was a level III Career Ladder Teacher. She was also an active member “Alpha Delta Kappa”. Mrs. Thompson has been a delegate to the Tennessee Education Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee. She has also been a delegate to the National Education Association Convention held in Denver, Colorado. She taught at the elementary level for forty-two years in Putnam County Schools. Her pupils loved and respected her very much. Mrs. Thompson loved her basketball team,” The Thompson Tigers” and she really enjoyed seeing them win. She taught at Cedar Hill, Gentry, Burgess, Nash’s Chapel, Sycamore and Baxter Elementary.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Irene McGourty, age 68 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, July 12th at 1:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. She died Friday, July 6, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. McGourty’s family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Pamela Kaye Simmons Tollison, age 47 of Sparta, will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 12th at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Rudy Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery. Pamela went to be with her Lord on 7/9/2018. Her joy would shine through as a bright smile each day. She was an employee of Bank of Putnam County for 15 years and was loved by her family, friends, coworkers, customers, and church family. A member of the Sparta 1st Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Ann Simmons and Father-in-law, Kyle Tollison. Survivors include husband of 28 years Tracy L. Tollison, 2 sons Ethan Layne (Hannah) and Eli Kayne (Haley), one daughter Jewel Keely, Father Vestle Simmons, 1 Sister Connie (Robert) Shoemake, and mother in law Joan Tollison. Family will receive friends from 5pm until 9pm on Wednesday, July 11th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Carter Tollison Cemetery Fund.

Funeral Services for Mr. Glenn H. Ramsey, 86 of Cookeville will be Friday, July 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Cookeville First United Methodist Church. Mr. Ramsey died Monday morning July 9, 2018 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 – 1:00 at the church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Thrasher, age 85, of the Fellowship Community will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Friday, July 13, at Livingston First Baptist Church. Bro. Scott Allred will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Thrasher passed peacefully from this life on Sunday morning, July 8, 2018, in the comfort of her home. She was born in Overton County, August 18, 1932 to the late James Walter & Eula Reeder Vaughn. She was a 1950 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Livingston First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and sewing with her church family. Inez leaves her son, David Thrasher & wife Beverly of Livingston; daughter, Dr. Karen Thrasher Carroll & husband Ronnie of Knoxville; grandchildren, Gregg Rader, Nick Rader, Nicole Hughes, Danielle Srock, Matt Thrasher, Nate Thrasher & Kayla Cope; great grandchildren, Jake Hughes, Mia Hughes, Charlie Srock, Finn Srock, Huxley Thrasher, & Tyson Cope. In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Thrasher, son, Billy Joe Thrasher; brothers, Derward Vaughn, Raleigh Vaughn, Cratus Vaughn, & Milburn Vaughn sisters, Eddis Sells, and Agnus Bilbrey. The family will welcome friends from 5 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, July 12, and from 12 noon until time of service on Friday at Livingston First Baptist Church. Memorial Donation can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
