Mr. Billy Time Pangle, 90 of Livingston, passed from this life on Wednesday evening, June 20, 2018, from the Overton County Health & Rehab Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Services for Mrs. Vela M. Lee, age 90 of Livingston, will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:30 AM from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston, TN with burial to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery of Allons, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 21 from 6pm to 8pm. Officiating will be Brother Matt Mitchell. Lee passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Bethesda Health Care Center. Mrs. Velma Lee was born in Allons, TN on October 19, 1927 to the late Lena and Calvin Colson. She worked food service as a waitress for many years.

Funeral services for Oliver Victor Anderson, age 90, of Cookeville will be held Friday, June 22nd, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with David Flatt, Paul Wilmoth and Glen Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial. Mr. Anderson passed away peacefully Monday, June 18, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville surrounded by his family. He was born Monday, August 29, 1927 in Gainesboro to the late Johnny Peyton Anderson and Dona Ragland Anderson. For over forty years, Mr. Anderson served as an Elder at Sycamore and Northeast Churches of Christ. He worked at Cookeville Industries, Sycamore School, and mowed yards until he was eighty-eight years of age. In addition to his parents, Oliver Victor Anderson was preceded in death by: eleven brothers and sisters, Bethel Anderson, Essie Ward, Daisie Neil, Sidney Anderson, Johnnie Pearson, Thomas Anderson, Dora McBroom, Clara Mable Thompson, Loid Anderson, BJ Anderson, and Nick Anderson. He is survived by: his wife of sixty-nine years, Ila Mae Anderson; daughters, Shirley (David) Flatt of Cookeville and Linda (Charles) Crawford of Sparta; son, Stanley (Samantha) Anderson of Cookeville; grandchildren, Dana Wilmoth, Erica Stafford, Elizabeth Kase, Sarah Brady, Jared Anderson, Ann Marie Anderson, Sammy Anderson; great-grandchildren, Riley, Colin, Mae Parker, Amelia, Preston, Lorelei, Arabelle, and Ellington. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2018, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Friday, June 22, 2018, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Don Francis Horsley, age 81, of Cookeville, will be at 4 p.m Friday June 22 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Figura officiating. Mr. Horsley died peacefully in his sleep Monday morning, June 18, 2018, in his home in Cookeville. He was born March 16, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Roy Franklin Horsley and Alta Elise Drennan Horsley. Mr. Horsley spent the majority of his career as a computer systems analyst for GE and Honeywell, and was able to live abroad for many of those years. In retirement, he was able to pursue a love of woodworking and clock repair. He was active at Faith Presbyterian Church, OPC in Silver Point, where he and his wife were founding members. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Edna Lois Boyd Horsley, whom he married March 12, 1966 in Cookeville; daughter, Karen Kincaid of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Stephanie Horsley of Lake Worth, Florida; son-in-law, Phillips Kincaid of Cookeville; four grandchildren, Corey Kincaid of Cookeville, Joshua Kincaid of Knoxville, Liam “Maddie” Kincaid, and Megan Kincaid; two step-grandchildren Grace and Arden Plett of Lake Worth, Florida; a brother, Raymond Horsley, and a sister-in-law Rachel Horsley, both of Fayetteville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Drennan Horsley. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Nashville. Donations made to Hope Lodge will be used solely at Hope Lodge, 2008 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN and may be made in memory of Don F. Horsley.

Memorial services for Mrs. Jodie Bowman, 64, of Gainesboro, will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday, June 22, 2018, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funera l Home. The family has chosen cremation. She passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at her residence in Gainesboro. She was born June 5, 1954, in Gainesboro, to the late Tom Joe Bowman and Susan Elizabeth Bowman. She was a retired book keeper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Elizabeth Nichole “Nicki” Beach Chinoy. Survivors include her 2 Sons: Randy Beach and Andrew Grisham both of Gainesboro; and 2 Grandchildren: Kaya Brown of Interlachen, FL and Landon Grisham of Florida; and 3 Sisters: Kathy (David) Haynie of Tuscaloosa, AL, Peggy Bowman of Madison, AL, and Sandy (Donnie) Ragland of Gainesboro. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 until time of the service.

Funeral services for James Darrell Frizzell, age 88, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Randy Bybee officiating. Interment will follow in Shipley Cemetery. Mr. Frizzell passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born Monday, June 16, 1930 in Cookeville, to the late Raymond and Mary Vollie King Frizzell. James was a member of Shipley Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he received a purple heart from receiving injuries during his time of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Frizzell Martin Harris, and a brother, Charles Frizzell; one sister-in-law, Betty Frizzell and three brothers-in-law, Dale Martin, GS Harris and Jim Ryan. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bean Frizzell of Cookeville; brothers, Harold Frizzell of Cookeville, and Ronnie Frizzell and wife Yvonne of Gallatin; sister, Bonnie Ryan of Texas and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday 5 PM to 8 PM and Saturday 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Father Chad Puthoff, S.D.S. Will Officiate. Mr. Lugo Was Born On April 5, 1945, In Puerto Rico, To The Late Ada Ilia Beauchamp And Pablo Lugo. Mr. Lugo Passed Away On Monday, June 18, 2018. Mr. Lugo Was Owner/Operator Of Game Traders In Miami, Florida. He Loved Cigars, Camping, Fishing, Traveling, Blowing Leaves, Nascar And All Sports. He Was A People Person And Loved Talking On The Phone And Calling His Family And Friends Daily. He Loved Good Food And Eating And Was Always The Life And Fun Of All Gatherings. His Favorite Hobby Was Spending Time With His Grandchildren. He Is Survived By His Wife Of Almost 50 Years Who He Married On July 27, 1968, Maria E. Martinez Lugo Of The Cumberland Cove Community; 2 Daughters And Sons-In-Law, Leslie And Lionel McDavid, Jr. Of Ft. Funeral services for Mrs. Bennie Ruth Reeder Robbins, age 87, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Harold Smith & Bro. Scott Allred will officiate. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery. Mrs. Robbins passed from this life on Wednesday evening, June 20, 2018 from the Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga. She was born May 31, 1931 in Overton County to the late Benjamin “Ben” Franklin & Nona Pearl Langford Reeder. Bennie Ruth was a longtime member of the Livingston First Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Jenkins & Darwin on the Livingston Square, and later in life for Hutchinson in Livingston. Mrs. Bennie loved working outside in her yard, her flowers or her garden where she truly had a green thumb and a strong work ethic. She was known for helping others and took great joy in giving back. Mrs. Bennie Ruth leaves her sons, Rusty Robbins, and Jimmy Robbins, both of Livingston; grandchildren, Russ Robbins & wife Amanda, Kendall Robbins, Jennifer Robbins Hutson & husband Daniel, Jamie Barela, Amy Robbins, Kensley Robbins and Ramona Robbins Winningham; great grandchildren, Mikayla, Isaac, Alisa, Heston and Harper; great-great grandchildren, Matix and Chloe; also several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bennie Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Rolan Cross Robbins and brothers, Clarence, James, and John L. Reeder. Funeral services for Mr. Henry M. “Red” Hampton 88, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. He passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. He was born July 17, 1929, in West Frankfort, Illinois, to the late Fred. E. Hampton and Ruby Jane Hampton. On March 14, 1950 he was married to the late Leatrice Joy Hampton, who passed away on August 10, 2009. He was an electrician. He loved being the candy man. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Church of God of Anderson, Indiana. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Brenda Hampton Golden; 1 Brother: Bill Hampton; and 2 Sisters: Bonnie Hampton and Imogene Hampton. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Debra (William) Nielson of Cary, IL and Wende Spivey of Gainesboro; 5 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren and 1 Sister: Rose Newman of West Frankfort, IL. Other relatives and friends also survive. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 – 7 P.M. and on Sunday from noon until time of services.

A memorial service for Faison Young Whitaker, Jr., 88 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, June 29th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cookeville, TN. White passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Sparta. Whit is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Beth and George Wood; his son, Eric Whitaker; grandchildren, Chris Whitaker, Michelle Fairfield, and James Fairfield; along with an extended family of nieces, nephews and step-great-grandchildren – all of whom are grateful for his love. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Following the service, all guests are welcome to join the family for refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Chuch of Cookeville, 20 N Dixie Ave., Cookeville, TN 38501.
