Ms. Edith Phillips, Age 75 Of The Muddy Pond Community Of Monterey, Passed Away On Monday, May 7, 2018, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral Arrangements Are Incomplete.

Mr. Billie R. Dickerson, age 77 of Sparta passed away Monday morning, May 7, 2018 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangemens are incomplete.

Gary Wayne Brymer, 61 of Quebeck, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at his home. Born Tuesday, April 9, 1957 in Sparta. He was the husband of Wilma Jean Brymer. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Helen Hammock Coffman, age 79, of Livingston will be conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from the chapel of the Livingston Funeral Home. Pastor Josh Coffman will officiate. Burial will be in the Okolona Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening, May 7, 2018 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home. Mrs. Coffman passed from this life on Saturday evening, May 5, 2018 at the Tennova Health Care Center in Lebanon, TN. She was born in Overton County on May 17, 1938 to the late William & Martha Jane Neal Hammock. Joyce was a member of the Monroe Christian Church. She loved her family and spending time with them. Joyce loved being with and around her grandchildren. She loved family reunions, watching “Gone with the Wind” & dancing.

Funeral services for Ms. Ruby Edna Sadler Myers, age 97 of Sparta, will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the West Sparta Church of Christ with Derrick Coble officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Ms. Myers passed away Wednesday May 2, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Sparta. She was born October 7, 1920 in Allen County, KY to the late Walter and Guisetta (Bentley) Sadler. Ms. Myers grew up in Scottsville, KY. She married Charlie B. Myers on September 28, 1940. She supported her husband for 77 years as he served Churches of Christ in Kentucky and Tennessee. They moved to Sparta to work with the West Sparta Church of Christ in 1958. Surviving family members include: Two sons: Stacy Myers and his wife Patricia of Oak Ridge and Wesley Myers of Gallatin; Two granddaughters: Kristin DuFrain and husband Jerry of Tampa, FL and Amy Myers-Delaney and husband Ben of Wurtsboro, NY; Two great-grandsons: Zachary DuFrain and Elijah DuFrain of Tampa, FL; Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, Ms. Myers was preceded in death by her husband and all of her siblings. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Stepping Stone Pre-School at the West Sparta Church of Christ or Short Mountain Bible Camp in Woodbury, TN. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at the West Sparta Church of Christ with the funeral and burial to follow immediately.

Funeral services for Maxine Ann Boyd, age 77, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Presley Funeral Home. Maxine Ann Boyd passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County in Cookeville. Maxine Ann Boyd was born Saturday, August 31, 1940 in Watertown, Wisconsin to the late Robert Schilling and Norma Voss Schilling. Maxine worked for several years as a Key Punch Operator at Hein-Werner Corporation in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She moved to Baxter, Tennessee to raise her son in 1978. She went to work at JR Nash Moving and Storage, where she finally retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Richard E. Posekany and Grady Boyd. She is survived by: son, Kenneth Posekany of Cookeville; special friend, Bud Waller of Cookeville; brother, Arden Schilling, Janesville, Wisconsin; cousins, David Cartwright of Waukesha, Wisconsin, John Cartwright of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Jeff Cartwright of West Allis, Wisconsin, and Sawyer Cartwright of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elise Ramsey Cantrell age 79, of Livingston will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Falling Springs Cemetery. Elise passed from this life on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 7, 1938, in Overton County to the late Radford Ramsey and Mary Walker. She enjoyed tending her garden, taking road trips, and spending time with her family. Elise leaves her sons, Charles Cantrell of Livingston; Ray Cantrell, Jr. of Livingston; Christopher Cantrell and wife Rachael of Livingston; daughter, Glenda Chase and husband Steve of Melbourne, FL; grandsons Jason Chase and wife Currie, Jeremy Chase and wife Sarah, Jeffrey Chase and wife Patricia, and Brandon Chase; great grandchildren Kaylie Chase, Steven Chase, Hunter Chase, Parker Chase, Carter Chase, Logan Chase, and Leah Chase; great great granddaughter, Ryleigh Elise Bowen; Sisters, Stella Young, Alice Cole, Marie Greenwood, Diane Ramsey, and Rillie Hill; brothers, Ray Ramsey and J. C. Ramsey. In addition to her parents, Elise was preceded in death by her husband Ray William Cantrell, Sr.; daughter, Mary Kay Cantrell; brothers, B. Ramsey and Junior Ramsey; and sisters, Della Boswell and Cella Swack. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Hinson Was Born On August 8, 1927, In Monterey, To The Late Hershel And Tilda Looper Phillips. Mrs. Hinson Passed Away On Sunday, May 6, 2018, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hinson Was A Homemaker. She Was A Member Of Tyler Point Freewill Baptist Church. She Is Survived By Her Daughter And Son-In-Law, Janice And Chris Brown Of The Tyler Point Community; Son And Daughter-In-Law, Rick And Sherrie Hinson Of The Tyler Point Community; Son-In-Law, Larry Lowe Of Crossville; 8 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 5 Sisters, Gladys Wilson Of Sparta, Marie Cordell Of Guin, AL, Mildred Linder Of Livingston, Estell Tosh Of Cookeville, Wanda Pugh Of Jonesboro, GA; And 2 Brothers, Marcen Phillips Of Cullman, AL, Roger Phillips Of Anderson, IN. Graveside Funeral Services For David L. Dow, Age 83, Of Byrdstown, formerly of Monterey, Will Be Conducted On Friday, May 11, 2018, At 11:00 AM At The Welch Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Larry Spears Will Officiate With Interment To Follow. Mr. Dow Was Born On April 18, 1935, In Monterey, Tennessee, To The Late Lawrence And Maude Baldwin Dow. Mr. Dow Passed Away On Saturday, May 5, 2018, At The Pickett County Care And Rehabilitation Center In Byrdstown. Mr. Dow Was President And CEO Of Da Lo Industries, Incorporated In Byrdstown, Tennessee, For Approximately 40 Years. He Formed The Gospel Crusaders Quartet Group And Sang With Them. He And His Wife Started Their Own Publishing Company, Begley Dow Publishing Company. He Attended And Sang With His Wife At The Central Grove Baptist Church And Peolia Methodist Church In Albany, Kentucky. He Was A Faithful Servant Of The Lord, Good Family Man And Parent. He Is Survived By His Daughter And Son-In-Law, Sherry And John Baines Of Frisco, TX; Son And Daughter-In-Law, David Jr. And Martha Dow Of Albany, KY; 4 Grandchildren, Andika Pennycuff Of Albany, KY, Bryan Wilson Of Sachse, TX, Brent Wilson Of Crossroads, TX, David Drake Dow Of Byrdstown, TN; 7 Great Grandchildren; Brothers-In-Law, Rev. Celebration of Life for Della “Jean” Smith, 67 of Cookeville, will be held, Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Paran Church in Cookeville. Jean passed from this life Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at her home in Cookeville. Jean was born Wednesday, August 9, 1950 and she was the daughter of the late Carl E. Sr.and the Dorothy (Johnson) Stults. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and working for the Lord. She worked at Lucky B Manufacturing for many years. Jean loved animals and especially her German Shepherd, Duck. Jean is survived by: 2 Daughters: Dawn Huckeby, Jennifer and Terry Mansell; 1 Son: Jamie McGinnis; 2 Grandsons: Daniel James Harville, Elijah Glenn McGinnis; Great-Granddaughter: Kallie Jaden Lynn Harville. In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by: Brother: Carl Stults, Jr. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to: Cookeville Putnam County Animal Shelter, 2650 Gainesboro Grade, Cookeville, TN 38501 in memory of Della Jean Smith.
