Mr. Dan Hearn, age 83 of Cookeville, died Sunday night, July 1st at NHC Healthcare Cookeville. Arrangements for Mr. Hearn are incomplete.
Funeral Services For Martha J. Cooper, Age 86, Of Hanging Limb, Will Be Conducted On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, At 11:00 AM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Bro. Ned Cooper, Bro. Alan Cooper, And Bro. Tim Singleton Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The F.A. Norrod Cemetery. Mrs. Cooper Was Born On January 31, 1932, In Frankfort, Indiana, To The Late Fletcher And Edith W. Walters Dixon. Mrs. Cooper Passed Away On Thursday, June 28, 2018, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Cooper Was A Homemaker And Former Family Coordinator With L.B.J. & C. Head Start In Crawford. She Was A Faithful Member Of The Monterey Church Of Christ Where She Served As A Sunday School Teacher And A Deacon’s Wife. She Is Survived By Her Husband Of Almost 63 Years, Roil Winston Cooper Of Hanging Limb; 1 Daughter And Son-In-Law, Ruby Ann And Mark Hershey Of Hanging Limb; 2 Sons And Daughters-In-Law, Bro. Alan And Lisa Cooper Of Nolensville, TN, Bro. Ned And Neva Cooper Of North Platte, NE; 6 Grandchildren, Nathan Cooper, Stephen Cooper, Adam Hershey, Jacob Hershey, Chad Manweiler And Nathan Manweiler; 14 Great Grandchildren; Sister, Lois Lipp Of Valparaiso, IN; And Brother, Bill Dixon Of North Carolina. In Addition To Her Parents, She Was Preceded In Death By Her Sister, Nancy Dixon. Funeral services for Tyler Hamilton, age 28, of Cookeville will be held Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Shelby Hamilton, Kimberly Smith, and Kerry Higgins officiating. Interment will follow in Howard Cemetery. Tyler passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Pippin, and great-grandmother, Estelee Harris. He is survived by: his parents, David and Linda Newberry; sister, Shelby Hamilton; brother, Logan Chipman; a host of cousins, family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Theodore “Ted” Winslow Shelton, Jr, 83 of Cookeville, will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Ronald Graef officiating alongside full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Ted passed from this life on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Ted was born Friday, October 5, 1934 in Canton, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Theodore Winslow Shelton, Sr and the late Katie (White) Holtzlander. Ted was a loving son, caring husband, attentive dad as well as a devoted and warm hearted grandpa. He was a great man who touched many lives. Ted showed empathy to everyone he met and he was a dedicated Christian. His faith was very important to him and he used that faith to prepare his family for his departure. Ted is survived by: Wife of 62 years : Ruth Lorene Shelton. 2 Daughters: Laura S. Benando, Tedi R. Shelton-Henkel and Brian. Son: Darrin Scott Shelton and Lynn. 8 Grandchildren: Jeremy Jacob and Heather Benando, Kandi Lorene and Greg White, Treia Kyliene Rodriguez, Jeidan Bella-Raye Kaminski, Gary Lee Shelton, Michelle Gallagher, and Kai and Kealyn Henkel. 10 Great-Grandchildren: Brittany McMillan, Jayci Perkins, Matthew Perkins, Eli Benando, Bailey Benando, Kristopher Kolisnyk, Payge White, Calvin Gallagher, Danny Bandy and Christian Shelton. Half Brother: Jack Holtzlander. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by: Son, Richard Daley Shelton and Sister, June Shelton. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, and from 10:00 AM until time of services on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
