David Harris And Bro. Kenny Smith Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The George M. Phillips Cemetery. Mr. Barlow Was Born On March 24, 1960, In Livingston, To The Late Little John And Flora Dorcas Phillips Barlow. Mr. Barlow Passed Away On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, At The Livingston Regional Hospital. Mr. Barlow Was An Operations Manager With Bank Of Putnam County From March 1985 Until April 2000, Bank Office Manager At Advanced Computer Enterprises Intercept In Maryville, From June 2000 Until July 2001, Head Teller At Jackson Bank And Trust From September 2001 Until November 2005, Teller Operations Supervisor And Controller At American Bank And Trust From November 2005 Until January 2010, And Deposit Account Specialist At Community Bank And Trust Southeast Bank From February 2010 Until His Retirement. He Attended Muddy Pond Independent Baptist Church. He Is Survived By His Brother And Sister-In-Law, Jerry And Chris Barlow Of The Sunk Cane Community; And Nephew, Andrew Barlow Of The Sunk Cane Community. Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Helen Wyatt, age 82, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday September 15 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Clarence Deloach will officiate. Interment will follow in the Elrod Cemetery in White County. Mrs. Wyatt passed away Tuesday September 11, 2018 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born October 3, 1935 in Putnam County, TN to the late Herman and Arrie Elrod Lack. Mrs. Wyatt was a member of Willow Avenue Church Christ. She was retired branch manager at Citizens Bank (Union Planters) in Algood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lora Herron; and step-son, Michael Wyatt. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, John Wyatt who she married February 3, 2003 in Cookeville; three sisters, Leron Hutcherson of Murfreesboro, Jessie (Mack) Horn of Woodbury, Chris (Norm) Hillman of Milan, IN; and two step-sons, John Robert Jr. (Barbara) Wyatt of Crossville, Eddie Wyatt of Smyrna. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Funeral services for Mr. J B Harper, 92, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born June 7, 1926, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Henry Harper and Betty Harper. He was married to Georgia Fulton Harper, who survives. He was a factory worker at Russell Stover Candy Co., and a member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church.

A memorial service for John C. Pearson, 70, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Cane Creek Baptist Church with Brother Jim McAfee officiating. Mr. Pearson passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Bethesda Health Care in Cookeville. He was born Sunday, February 22, 1948 in Cookeville to the late John Willie Pearson and Minnie Ella Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in law and two nephews. Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Helen Harris Pearson; three sons, John Pearson Jr., Thomas Pearson, and Jonathan Pearson; two daughters, Dixie Pearson and Emily Pearson; two stepdaughters, Charlotte Sanders and Donna Harris; five grandchildren, Blake Pearson, Ashley Greenlee, Michael Pearson, Amber Greenlee, Allyson Wright; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Polly Martin; and one nephew, Stacy Martin.

A Memorial Service for Gena Lynn (Victory) Julien, age 56 of Buffalo Valley, will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 beginning at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Son: Barry Julien officiating. The family has chosen cremation. Gena passed from this life Sunday, September 9, 2018, at her home in Buffalo Valley. She was born Saturday, November 25, 1961 in Detroit , Michigan, she was the daughter of Bobbie and Madeline (Herron) Victory. Gena lived in several places and traveled the world, loved animals, loved to cook and loved her family. She was a very passionate soul. She was loved and will be missed greatly. Her bright spirit will be with us always. She studied the Bible and tried to better herself in life. Her son Barry Julien will remember her for her free spirit and compassion for life, and the impact she had on him growing into a man. In addition to her parents she is survived by: 1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Barry and Jackelyn Julien of Tampa, FL. Gena was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Robert Allen Victory, Maternal Grandparents: Roy and Maggie Herron and Paternal Grandparents: Roy and Lori Victory and many Aunts and Uncles. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. She passed away Thursday afternoon September 13 at her home. Lavenia’s family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Ann Mellema, 73, of Gainesboro, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. The family has chosen cremation. She passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1945, in Wadesboro, NC, to the late Fred H. Terry and Jessie Mae Terry. She was married to the late Dean Mellema. She was an LPN, and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Edmund Robins; and 2 Sisters: Girtie Ann Lawhon and Donna Cassidy. Survivors include 1 Son: Charles D. Brown II of Gainesboro; 2 Daughters: Lori Rush of Gainesboro, and Katherine Naidenoff of Gainesboro; 1 Stepson: Robert (Remonia) Mellema of Cookeville; and 7 Grandchildren: Jacob Brown, Caleb Brown, Chris Brown, Justin Hurt, Joshua Scantland, Rachel Mellema, and Justin Long. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services.

Interment will follow in Brown’s Mill Cemetery. She died Thursday September 13, 2018 in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Betty’s family will receive friends Saturday from 5 p. m. till 8 p. m. and Sunday from 1 p. m. until service time at the funeral home.

A memorial service for Mr. John B. Roberts, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, September 16th at 4:00 p.m. at Jefferson Ave. Church of Christ. He died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at NHC Healthcare Cookeville. Mr. Roberts family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frances McCue, 92, of Pleasant Shade, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 17, 2018, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Draper Cemetery in the Wartrace community of Jackson County. She passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. She was born April 26, 1926, in the Haydenburg community of Jackson County, to the late Benton Mosley and Curlie Mosley. She was married to the late Grady McCue. She was a factory worker, and a lifelong member of the Pleasant Grove Upper Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Haydenburg community of Jackson County, TN. She was also a founding member of the Wartrace FCE Homemakers Club. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Willard Mosley and Sidney Mosley; 2 Sisters: Dean Minchey and Nell McCoin; and 3 Nephews: Charles Mosley, Bennie Mosley, and Glen Clark. Survivors include 1 Sister-in-law: Merlene Mosley of Lebanon; Nieces and Nephews: Patricia Roysden, Teresa (John) Johns, Debra (Danny Joe) Stafford, Vickie (Harold) Crawford, Linda (John) Pedigo, Peggy Roberts, Ward (Ann) McCoin, Brenda Green, and Gale (Leonard) Moudy; and her Supporter and Friend: Tim Agee. Other relatives and friends also survive. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral services for James Eldon Stout, age 90, of Baxter will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Johnny Fox and Clarence Deloach officiating. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mr. Stout passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. He was born Friday, February 10, 1928 in Gainesboro to the late James Stout and Cassie Brown Stout. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16, 2018, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Monday, September 17, 2018, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Patricia Levenne Dillon, age 69, of Cookeville, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday September 22 at Holladay Church of Christ. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate. Mrs. Dillon passed away Sunday morning September 9, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends Saturday September 22 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Graveside services for Ronnie Howard Ligon, 85, of Cookeville will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:30 at Odd Fellows Cemetery with Walter Phillips officiating. Mr. Ligon passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 17, 1933 in Baxter, Tennessee to the late Charles M. Ligon and Hester Campbell Ligon. He graduated from Upperman High School in 1951 and attended Tennessee Technological University. Mr. Ligon served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he joined the Tennessee Highway Patrol in Cookeville, Tennessee and remained until his retirement. After retiring from the THP, he accepted a position with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. While there, he worked at the Criminal Justice Center as security for the courtrooms. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 65 years, Eva Ann Jones Ligon; infant sister, Charlyn Ligon and brother, Bobby James “Mickey” Ligon. Mr. Ligon is survived by two daughters and son in law, Sherry Ligon (Marciano Roberts) and Terry Gail Ligon; one grandson, Clay Brandon Sherrell; one granddaughter, Dusty Sherrell Clark; three great grandchildren, Alexis, Kaylee and Chloe Clark. His family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00 pm prior to service time.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Noble Hooper Stout, Jr., 69 of Cookeville, held at Presley Funeral Home on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 PM. Noble passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Noble was born in Jackson County on July 12, 1949 to the late Noble Hooper Stout and Mable Carter Stout. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patsy (Pat) Hinrichsen Stout of Cookeville; mother Mable Carter Stout Maddux of Baxter; son Bo (Jennifer) Stout of Wilder; son Brandon (Alie) Stout of Verona, KY; step-son Michael (Erin) Carpinito of Kent, WA; step-daughter Theresa (Alex) Kira of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Tylan Stout, Tatyn Stout and Banks Stout; step-grandchildren Brianna Carpinito and Michael Carpinito, Jr. Noble was with the City of Cookeville Water/Sewer Department for nearly 23 years and retired in 2004. Over the past 50 years, he was well known for following his passion of raising, training and showing Tennessee Walking Horses. He also thoroughly enjoyed his time spent with fishing buddies on Cordell Hull Lake. Since his retirement, he and Patsy traveled throughout the United States and abroad, with and without their horses. With his infectious smile and heart of gold, Noble was one of a kind who didn’t hesitate “stirring the pot.”
