Putnam Planning Approves Final Plat For Window Cliffs

Putnam County Regional Planning Commission approved the final plat for the new Window Cliffs subdivision in southwest Cookeville.

Planning Director Kevin Rush said the plat had originally been filed with 22 lots. He said that there were questions about access points and the remainder between lots.

Rush said Developer Jackie Schubert had combined two lots and removed one lot to create access for a remainder. He said there could be future changes in the plans, which would adjust the footage of the remainder.

Rush said the way the plat is presented has viable lots. He said if any changes were made, they would need to come back before the Planning Commission for re-subdivision. The plat was approved unanimously subject to the addition of fire hydrants, which the developer said will be installed Thursday.

In other business, the commission also approved the plat for Autumn Woods Phase III.

Rush said when it was originally platted, the developer used four lots for dirt. Because there were mounds of dirt on the lots, Rush said. developers could not get TDEC approval to build. He said now that the dirt has been relocated, the developers are ready to move forward and build up those four lots.
