Putnam Judge Hudson Will Not Run For New Term

Putnam County General Sessions Court Judge John Hudson will not seek reelection for another term.

Hudson in a release said the decision comes with mixed emotions but is the right one. Hudson served in the position for 26 years.

“Time has taken its toll on virtually every aspect of my life,” Hudson said. “Added to that are the dramatic and profound changes we have seen in our society and laws over the last few years which brings me to the realization that a younger person is better suited to serve in this capacity.”
