Putnam Jail Escapee Recaptured Friday Night

An escapee from the Putnam County Jail apprehended Friday night after walking through an unlocked door.

Jack Janes is a convicted Felon and Sex Offender. He now faces additional charges of Escape. At least two individuals have been charges in connection with assisting Janes in his escape.

“Anytime an inmate escapes, we obviously have made a mistake in order for that to happen of which is unacceptable and is currently being addressed,” Sheriff Eddie Farris said.
